Parenting a child who needs more?

More time.
More patience.
More of you . . . every single day.

my story of depression

You’re not imagining it.

It’s hard. It’s lonely.
And there’s no manual for the child you’re raising.

But here’s what I want you to know:

You’re not failing.
You’re showing up in one of the most powerful ways possible.
Your child may not say thank you today — but the safety you’re building? They’ll carry it for life.

Hi, I’m Renee.

And I’ve been there.

I know what it’s like to hold it all together until school drop-off is done.

To wonder if anyone else feels this stretched, this unseen, this tired.

This blog is for parents like you — who love deeply, show up quietly, and do the kind of invisible work that often goes unnoticed.

But not here.

What you’ll find:

Honest Reflections

The quiet truths of parenting kids who need more.

Resources That Work

Simple tools that support your child and your own wellbeing.

A Place to Breathe

No pressure, no perfection. Just real presence.

You’re not alone in this.

And you’re doing more than you know.

You love a child who needs more — and most people don’t see that work

You’re exhausted before school drop-off (and still keep going)

You hold big feelings — for your child and yourself

You’re trying to parent with presence, not perfection

This space is for you if ...

You’re craving support without pressure

You need space where honesty is welcome

You just want to feel less alone in all of it

You don’t have to hold it all alone.

A free 5-day email + voice note series for parents of kids who need more.

Because some days, “You’re doing the best you can in this moment” is exactly what you need to hear.

No pressure. No spam. Just presence.

Why I’m Here

My kids are my biggest teachers.

I’m raising two boys who show me every day what it means to love deeply, repair often, and grow in ways I never expected. Parenting them—especially as a parent with anxiety, CPTSD, and big feelings of my own—has cracked me open in the hardest and most beautiful ways.

I’m not here with expert answers. I’m here to share what’s real. What’s helping. What’s still hard. And to remind you that you don’t have to figure this out alone.

If you’re looking for honest stories, creative tools, and a little more gentleness in how you parent (and how you treat yourself) … you’re in the right place.
